Not a good program and definitely do not recommend. My kids did not enjoy class at all and they have a terrible cancellation policy. It's a staid environment. Just look into the eyes of the children in the class - most look like they want to be rescued.
Angela does not know how to work with kids and makes them feel bad about themselves if they don't listen perfectly to what she says. She does not know how to nurture or create an environment were kids feel they can experiment or be really creative. She also does not know how to communicate with parents and is not at all open to feedback. She walked away in the middle of a conversation, refusing to hear feedback or even engage in a conversation. She is spiteful and it shows in her treatment of the kids.

I studied at Arts in Action VAP for over five years and my experience was truly amazing. Angela used her expertise to guide me in my preparation in my portfolio for both my high school and college applications. Besides that I also worked on still life, painted, used charcoal, sketched and more. I got to explore every kind of tool and method in the art world and I found what I liked best and didn't. Growing up going to Arts in action every Wednesday became apart of my childhood and my developement as an artist and as a young woman. I can't thank Angela and the other mentors I had for the artistic training and education that I recieved there.

My now 10-yr-old daughter has been going to Arts in Action VAP for a few years, and it's been exciting to watch her immense growth under the wonderful guidance of Angela and her team. The curriculum is comprehensive and challenging, and the students are deservedly proud of their work. They'll often work on a multi-layered project over the course of many weeks or months, thereby absorbing crucial lessons about patience, commitment, focus, and the joy of hard work. Can't recommend this program enough!
